Highly  experienced Front end Well Engineer with 32 years of experience in extensive onshore and offshore drilling engineering and operations  from  Brunei Shell Petroleum, Chevron Angola, PETRONAS mohan1Carigali Malaysia, ARAMCO, Kuwait Oil Company, Bahrain Petroleum Company., and ONGCL.

Extensive global experience in all arena of Well engineering  including planning, well design and material selection in deep water, geological complex regime, HPHT High H2S and CO2, operating  Land rigs, Jack ups, Tender Assisted and Platform rigs, drilling of HPHT, Extended reach, depleted field & end of life abandonment as per international standards..

Expert  in Landmark drilling software (COMASS, CASING SEAT, WELLPLAN, STRESS CHECK & WELLCAT), Schlumberger Drilling Office, TDAS & WEST, and Shell software.

Vinnavadi C B Sivakumar

Advisor Production Technology

A graduate in Petroleum Engineering from ISM Dhanbad, India, Sivakumar is a well known Petroleum Technologist having over 42 years of global experience from PETRONAS, Malaysia, BAPCO Bahrain, and ONGC, India.  His areas of expertise include Production Technology, Reservoir Surveillance, Well Modelling, Integrated Production Management, Well Completions, Artificial Lift (Gas Lift, ESP, PCP & Sucker Rod Pumps), Deep water and Subsea Field Development. He is Subject Matter Expert in Well Completions, Sand Control and Artificial Lift.

Sivakumar was part of FDP, FFR (Full field reviews) and JV management and champion for new technology initiatives such as CT-ESP, Water Shut-off techniques, Sand Consolidation techniques etc. at PETRONAS & BAPCO.   He is an expert in Design, Diagnosis, Troubleshooting and Management of Gas lift, Sucker rod pump, PCP & ESP systems, Well Production Monitoring etc.

Sivakumar is well versed with software applications viz. Prosper/GAP/ MBAL, WellFlo/ReO, OFM, Pansystem/SAPHIR, OfficeCade – Sandcade, Fraccade, Stimcade; WellCat etc. He is an expert trainer in Well Completions, Formation damage and Acid Matrix Stimulation, Hydraulic Fracturing and Production Enhancement.

Dr. N. K. Thakur

Innovation & Research Lead

Dr. Thakur received Masters in 1970 from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and Ph.D. from Bombay University, Bombay in 1984. With more than 40 years of research experience in diversifinkthakured  geological and geophysical experimentation from National Geophysical Research Institute

Hyderabad. His area of interest include seismic wave propagation, gravity and magnetic methods, quantitative methods for conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons and well log analysis.

Authored more than 70 peer reviewed papers including two text books and two US patent in his credit. He published world’s first text book on exploration of gas hydrate with Springer publications. He served as a member of United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and elect representative for five years. Presently he is focusing his research on seismic applications for quantitative reservoir characterization.


Timothy W. Franklin

Reservoir Engineer Lead

Petroleum Engineer (BSc and MSc) with over 36 years professional experience incltimothy-franklinuding Senior Reservoir Engineer, Principal Adviser, Subsurface Manager, Technical Director, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Intensive expertise in advanced, multi-disciplinary subsurface studies, technical and operations management, asset/portfolio management, finance, and project economics and risk analysis.  Tripped pipe on a rig floor, run completions, pumped FRACs and flanged up production facilities – onshore and offshore.

His key strength include Asset Reviews & Risk Analysis,   Green, Mature and Marginal Field Development, Field Development Planning, Economic Modeling , Budget Development, P&L Management Reporting, Communications & Stakeholder Management.

B. N. Singh 

Geophysics Lead

Mr.  Singh has more than 33 years of global experience in all arena of seismic    technology (API). He has experience in block evaluation, regional studies, new play generation, lead identification, prospect maturation, well proposal, etc. in various tectonic and depositional settings in Clastic and Carbonate environments.  He is expert in all spectrum of seismic data analysis including structural and stratigraphic interpretation, volume based 3D interpretation, reserves estimation, prospect risk analysis,and FDP support covering complete cycle of analysis of seismic data ranging from onshore, offshore, deep water and ultra deep water.

Mr. Singh has worked in a variety of positions at  KUFPEC, Kuwait, Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia, PD Oman, GAIL India Limited and Oil India Limited. Mr. Singh has proven track record in seismic data analysis (onshore, offshore, deep water, intra-salt, sub-salt, fold-thrust belt,etc) from India, Oman, Malaysia, Myanmar, China, Norway, Australia, etc. He is an expert PETREL user and has intensive expertise in utilizing seismic data analysis software from Schlumberger and Land Mark and volumetric software like Fastrack, Petra, REP, Rose Risk, etc.

ROBERT C. SHOUP

Principal Geological Advisor

Bob Shoup is a Board Certified Petroleum Geologist with over 36 years’ experience in basin analysis, regional studies, new play generation, prospect evaluation, field studies and development planning, drilling operations, and project management. Bob is a proven oil finder with a 46% exploration success rate (for commercial discoveries) and over 130 MMBOE discovered resources.

Bob began his career at Shell Oil in 1980, working for them for over 19 years. This was followed by four years working for private oil companies before becoming an independent consultant in 2003, consulting in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and New Zealand. In addition to consulting, Bob is an instructor for a number of SCA’s  short courses including; Applied Subsurface Geological Mapping, Mapping,  Quality Control Techniques for Reviewing Prospects and Acquisitions, & Prospect Evaluation, Risk, and Volume Assessment. Bob currently serves as the Director for Clastic Reservoir Systems; Chief Geologist for Subsurface Consultants & Associates (SCA); and serves on the Board of Directors for Sandalphon Energy.

Bob is  past-Chair of AAPG’s House of Delegates, a Past President of Bangkok’s Chapter of the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society and of AAPG’s Division of Professional Affairs, and past Secretary-Editor of the AAPG House of Delegates. He has served on numerous AAPG Committees and was Chairman of AAPG’s Mentor, Membership and Student Chapter Committees. He is a recipient of 11 AAPG and DPA Certificates of Merit; AAPG’s Distinguished Service Award in 2000, the DPA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2008, and DPA Life membership in 2010. He also currently serves as an ethics lecturer for the DPA.

RNSG Rao

Petro-physics Lead

More than 27 years of experience in all aspects of petrophysical evaluation from India and rao1Middle East within clastic and carbonate regime.

Credited with several integrated petro-physical evaluation studies viz, petrophysical (SSC an d Sand-Shale modeling), log based saturation height modeling, reservoir characterization, por-perm relation, data management, etc. to support FDP/FFR studies and to support RE/PE/Geologist for reservoir monitoring, reserve accretion. Worked as Petrophysical advisor  to the major RMTs’/Asset teams for LOSF and WF projects

Experienced in analyzing advanced logs including image logs and NMR.   He  is expert of  industry standard petrophysics software including IP, ElanPlus, Geolog .

R.S.Dwivedi

Petroleum Technology Lead

Expert Petroleum Technologist having 33 years of varied experience in Oil India ltd, a National Oil company in  India

Highly experienced in RMP and production enhancement initiates and strategies for optimizing field recovery.His experience include, production monitoring, well maintenance, completion of new drilling wells, work-over of sick wells, laying of cross country oil and gas pipe lines, pressure maintenance of reservoirs, various artificial lift methods.

Mr. Dwivedi was member of CMT, (Crisis Management Team), which was responsible for blow out control of wells in Oil India Ltd.”
